How SMP creates the appearance of follicles
Each impression is a single, very small point of pigment. Placed in varied sizes, angles and spacing, these points read as the natural shadow of hair at conversational distance.
Because the work is built from individual points rather than drawn lines, the edges stay soft and irregular — which is what keeps a result believable.
Hair density enhancement
For clients who keep their hair longer, impressions are placed between existing hairs. This reduces the contrast between scalp and hair, so thinning areas such as the crown or part line stop showing through.
Shaved scalp results
For advanced hair loss, SMP can cover the full scalp to create the look of a clean, closely shaved head with a defined hairline designed for your face.
Realistic limitations
- SMP does not regrow hair or stop hair loss — it changes how the scalp looks.
- It creates the appearance of hair, not texture or length.
- Results soften over time and a refresh is typically wanted after several years.
- Results vary by skin, hair pattern and goals, which is why every plan starts with a consultation.
